I am doing everything within my power, lawfully, to persuade the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) to place the Civil Disclosure Unit that serves North Yorkshire Police, and its PCC, into the ICO's monitoring scheme.

https://ico.org.uk/action-weve-taken/mon...

There are industrial scale breaches of the Act every year, by NYP/NYPCC CDU, in terms of operating outside the 20 working day limit. Quality of finalisation is often below the standard required, and they pick and choose how, when to respond to requesters based primarily on potential reputational damage to their police force.

Operation Kingfisher information requests, I am told by a source, have been placed in 'special measures' - and there will be delays and obfuscation, by the police force, in finalising them.

Dear North Yorkshire Police,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of North Yorkshire Police's handling of my FOI request 'Operation Kingfisher - arrest, charges and conviction data'.

This is simple basic data and it is ridiculous that you are not capable of responding within your legal time limit. Pkease respond with the requested information within the next 7 days.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/o...

Yours faithfully,

Marc Horn
