Dear Home Office,
Why many people can not check their profile after their PRE SETTLED and SETTLED STATUS application approved under EU SETTLEMENT SCHEME ? You asked them to click https://view-and-prove-your-rights.homeo... and prove your rights in the UK to new employer / landlord but it doesn't work . Many people have complained on an online forum that they too having same problem. Your website is showing " application under process " " We can't find your status " even after people have been granted settled / pre settled status under EU settlement Scheme . Is it major problem for Home Office IT department . It can effect thousand of EU citizen in the future after Brexit when they must show online View and prove your rights in the UK to the employer / agency / landlord / banks

Yours faithfully,

Monika Mickiewicz

EU Settlement Resolution, Home Office

Dear Monika Mickiewicz,

Thank you for you contacting the EU Settlement Resolution Centre.

We can only apologise for any inconvenience caused by you not being able to view your status.

There are currently no known issues that should prevent you from viewing your status online.

We understand that having been granted status under the EU Settlement Scheme, you would like to view your status on the online status portal.

For more information on how to do this, please visit:
https://www.gov.uk/update-eu-settlement-...

Before you click on the ‘Start Now’ button, you will need the details of the identity document you used to prove your identity when you applied to the Scheme, unless you have already updated it using this service. This will be one of the following:

• passport
• national identity card
• biometric residence card (BRC)

You must ensure you enter your date of birth on the application form in the same format as the EU Exit: ID Document Check app (if you have already verified your identity using the app), or in the same format as it appears on your ID document (if you are applying via the ‘Online and by post’ route). If these details fail to match, it may lead to an error message.

ID document numbers need to be fully entered, including any letters. Please ensure there are no spaces between the letters and numbers. Also, sometimes the following are mixed up and incorrect data is entered:

• I’s and 1’s (capital letter ‘i’ and number 1)
• 0’s and o’s (number zero and letter ‘o’)

You will be sent a security code to confirm your identity to either the email or mobile number you used in your application, unless you have already updated it using this service. This way you can access your profile (similar to online banking). You do not need a username or password.

Please note if you have got a new identity document, you will need to send this in the post and will be provided with instructions.

In future, please ensure that your details are kept up to date, so you can view and prove your rights to others, for example employers or landlords.

You can find out more about viewing and proving your rights, as well as updating your details online at:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...
