Since the introduction of on line reporting for shop theft plz answer the following:
How many crimes have been reported?
a) 32
How many crimes have been investigated?
a) All were screened out
How many crimes have been closed?
a) All are closed
How many times does the same person need to be reported before they are arrested?
a) This is a policy decision however times reported will not be a factor.
Which company or premises has reported the most thefts?
a) Sainsbury’s have used the function the most.

Having made enquiries within the Force above is all the information we have been able to retrieve.

Please note that all statistical data supplied in relation to Freedom of Information requests is a snapshot of data held at the time the request was received by the Freedom of Information office and is subject to constant change/updates.

It has come to our attention that the response we issued on the 18th June is erroneous. We would ask you disregard that response and rely on the following:

How many crimes have been reported?
a) 491
How many crimes have been investigated?
a) 18 were screened in for investigation however a number of crimes that were screened out have resulted in an offender being sanctioned.
How many crimes have been closed?
a) 469 are now closed
How many times does the same person need to be reported before they are arrested?
a) This is a policy decision however times reported will not be a factor.
Which company or premises has reported the most thefts?
a) Sainsbury's Local has used the facility most often.

Please accept our apologies for the erroneous response the Department providing this data were not aware that this information was being recorded in a certain manner and as soon it has come to light they have rectified their response to this.
