Online Census 2011

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Office for National Statistics,

I realize that it has been some time since the 2011 census but I wondered if you could answer the following questions regarding online submissions:

1) What method of security was used to protect the confidentiality of census data transmitted over the internet from individual PCs to the ONS servers e.g. SSL/TLS?

2) If SSL/TLS was used, who was the certificate issuing authority?

3) If SSL/TLS was used, who was the holder of the server's private key?

4) In which country were the servers that were used to receive the online submissions located?

5) Has any personally identifiable census data been transmitted outside of the United Kingdom over the internet. If so please provide details.

Yours faithfully,
James Harvey.
