Hello Alan,

Thank you for contacting London 2012 about Freedom of Information.

LOCOG is not covered by the Freedom of Information Act, as it is not a
'public authority' for the purposes of that Act.

The reason for this is that LOCOG is not wholly owned by three public
authorities: one of its three stakeholders, the BOA, is a private company
limited by guarantee and is not a public body.

As a result, LOCOG is not required to respond to any formal Freedom of
Information Act requests.
