Dear Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust,
Please could you provide me with the following information for the
financial year 2009/10 and for the present financial year to date;
1. a) How many Older Adult FMI beds are available within your trust
b) What does this equate to in terms of beds/head of
relevant/target population (ie. over 65)
2. Average Length of Stay for these beds.
3. Occupancy Rate for these beds.
4. Re-admission Rate for these beds.

Sheffield population figures are available from the Sheffield City Council
Average length of stay was 114.6 nights for 2009/10 and 99.1 nights for
Occupancy including leave was 98.4% for 2009/10 and 96.4% for April-May
Emergency readmissions within 28 days were 1.7% for 2009/10. There have
been no readmissions during April-May 2010.
