Dear Warwickshire Police,

Please supply me with officer and staff conviction data broken down as follows:
The number of staff and officer convictions, for the years of 2008 and 2018 (Jan 1 - Dec 31 of both years) listed by the year of conviction, the offence and the outcome.

If your records do not go back as far as 2008 then I will accept the earliest year you have records for after 2008 and 2018 (the years between are not being requested).

Yours faithfully,

Daniel Elliott

This FOI request clearly states it for Warwickshire Police not inclusive of West Mercia so it is unclear why it's Information Governance responds putting West Mercia officers into the equation, which it has done in another FOI of a similar nature to this refusing it on the basis it had some 3000 officers (Warwickshire/West Mercia) thus request exceeds 18 hours. Should you get a similar response highlight your request clearly states Warwickshire and must comply with request as stated and not 'modify' it to include West Mercia, that then gives rise to excuse to refuse.

Dear Information Compliance,

Thank you for your reply, however I note that you are referring to my request as being made to you for both Warwickshire and West Mercia Police forces.

I was under the impression based on police.uk websites that these forces are infact separate forces.

I have sent the same request to West Mercia as an independent request for them to consider.

It seems that you have modified my request to include West Mercia and this seems to be something that has been done on other requests to Warwickshire police force in an attempt to excuse the subsequent refusal of the FOI based on the request potentially taking more than 18 hours to complete.

Let me clarify my request, I am asking you, Warwickshire Police Force to provide information requested on Warwickshire Police Force ONLY. West Mercia has a request for the same information and so providing both forces treat these requests as individual requests, then there should be no reason that either police force should not be able to comply with my request.

Yours sincerely,

Daniel Elliott

Dear Information Compliance,

Section 10(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 states that:
Subject to subsections (2) and (3), a public authority must comply with section 1(1) promptly and in any event not later than the twentieth working day following the date of receipt.

Since the time frame set out in the FoI Act 2000 has been exceeded, and Section 50(1) of the FoI Act 2000 states that:
Any person (in this section referred to as “the complainant”) may apply to the Commissioner for a decision whether, in any specified respect, a request for information made by the complainant to a public authority has been dealt with in accordance with the requirements of Part I.

I am therefore writing to you to remind you of this obligation and give you the further opportunity to complete my request by way of internal review, else I will have to take the failure to adhere to the FoI Act 2000 to the ICO.

Yours sincerely,

Daniel Elliott

Dear Warwickshire Police,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Warwickshire Police's handling of my FOI request 'Officer and Staff conviction data'.

I appreciate you said you have an unoprecidented amount of requests but this is getting ridiculous.

Before taking this further I am giving you a second opportunity to review and supply the information requested.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/o...

Yours faithfully,

Daniel Elliott
