Dear Mr Jeffery,
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – INFORMATION REQUEST
Thank you for your online enquiry where you requested information about
the number of collisions within the in Borough for 2018/2019.
The information you requested is enclosed.
Data we currently hold only goes up to the 30^th June 2019 and therefore I
have done a search between the 1^st of January 2018 to 30^th June 2019.
Collision causation factors are considered by the police officer who
attended the scene as is carrying out the investigation into how the
collision occurred. Causation factors fall ito too categories, namely
possible or very likely to be a contributory factor in the collision.
Officers then decided which factors have either possibly or very likely
contributed to the collision. Unfortunately there is not a contributory
factor which directly relates to poorly maintained Road Traffic Signs but
the closest contributory factor is inadequate/ masked signs or road
markings.
The total number of collisions across the borough between the chosen dates
was 1,347 and the total number of collisions with the contributory factor
relating to your query was 10.
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your
original letter and should be addressed to:
