Number of playgrounds, MUGAs and outdoor fitness areas
Dear Fermanagh and Omagh District Council,
The Association of Play Industries (API) campaigns for policy recognition of the value of play. Previous years’ FOI requests have revealed an alarming decline in the number of public play spaces. We are lobbying Government for increased funding for public playgrounds, MUGAs and outdoor fitness areas. Please can you provide the following information:
How many playgrounds were there in your authority area during the financial year 2019/20?
How many playgrounds are there in your authority area during this financial year 2020/21?
How many playgrounds do you expect to have in your authority area in the financial year 2021/22?
How many multi-use games areas (MUGAs) were there in your authority area during the financial year 2019/20?
