Number and type of injuries sustained by police officers

The request was successful.

Good afternoon,

I am writing to make an open government request for all the information to which I am entitled under the freedom of information act. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible. If however this request is too wide or too unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the act you are required to advise and assist requesters.

I am requesting the following information:
I would like to know the total number of injuries that police officers have suffered. Please provide a total for each year I will stipulate below.
I would like to know the types of injuries that they are recorded to have suffered. I would like this broken down across the time period below.
I would like this information from across the past five years, up to the most recent set of data available for 2019.
If the injuries were sustained whilst working in a neighbouring force please provide an additional breakdown.
I would like this information electronically.

I understand that under the act I should be entitled to a response within 20 working days. I would be grateful if you could confirm via email that you have received this request. Ideally I would like the information as outlined in my request emailed to me. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

If there are any issues please don't hesitate to contact me.
