NRM Positive Conclusive Grounds Decisions based on Nationality

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Home Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Home Office,

I am writing to request information regarding NRM decisions based on nationalities of potential victims. NCA statistics show that non- EU or non- UK citizens receive significantly less Positive Conclusive Grounds Decisions than EU or UK citizens. My requests are:

1) Is this lower success rate due to the immigration status of potential victims of slavery and trafficking who are non- EU or non- UK citizens?

2) Statistics showing the breakdown of NRM decisions based on nationality for 2016 and 2018. (Statistics for other years are publicly available, but not for these two years).

3) Reasons why non- EU or non- UK citizens have such a higher proportion of conclusive decisions not yet made?

Yours faithfully,
Freddie Nickolds
