Non-refund of College fees.

Gwrthodwyd y cais gan Independent Schools Inspectorate.

Dear Independent Schools Inspectorate,
I kindly request you that my complain would be delivered to the
concerned party in UK. November 2011, I applied to the London
School of Business and Finance(LSBF) in Toronto for student visa.
The Canadian High Visa Commission in London looked after my case
and they refused my visa twice. February 2012, was the second time
when my visa was refused.
I paid CAD$ 2281 for the first semester of the course ACCA full
time. My student number is T10200982.
It is clearly mentioned in the Letter of Acceptance(LOA) that if
the visa is refused, students will get refund of paid fees after
deduction of CAD$200 administration charge. As per the requirements
I submitted all the documents they asked for but I have't got my
fees back. I emailed them, I called them many times but they are
just ignoring my case. Now they don't response my emails and calls.
I made calls to their head office in London as well but I did not
get response either. LSBF Toronto is branch of LSBF London,
so ultimately LSBF London should take the responsibilty of my issue. As a regulator and monitoring body of schools and colleges in UK, I would like to request you to look after my case.

I would be grateful if you could please deliver my message to the
CEO of LSBF London as soon as possible. I look forward to hear from
you. Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Santosh Baniya

Chloe Paraskeva, Independent Schools Inspectorate

Dear Mr Baniya,

Thank you for your email to ISI concerning non-refund of fees from the
London School of Business and Finance.  As ISI is not the body that
provides Educational Oversight for this institution, we are unfortunately
not able to assist you in obtaining a refund.  As an Inspectorate, we are
generally unable to become involved in individual concerns or disputes.
The body responsible for Educational Oversight for this institution is the
Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), who have undertaken a review which can be
accessed [1]here.  QAA also has a [2]guide on raising concerns about
institutions that have applied for Educational Oversight with them.

Apologies that we could not be of more help.

Kind regards,

Chloe Paraskeva
