4) TSA section 1 and section 2 scores for all non-IB Canadian PPE applicants (please specify which applicants have been shortlisted/accepted/deferred entry)
5) Interview scores for all non-IB Canadian PPE applicants (please specify which applicants have been accepted/deferred entry)
6) Average grade 11 and 12 marks for all non-IB Canadian PPE applicants (please specify which applicants have been shortlisted/accepted/deferred entry)

Dear FOI,

I’d like to request the information I’ve previously asked of for the 2019 PPE cycle of applicants. If for any reason, this is not possible, the 2018 cycle of applicants will suffice.

Yours sincerely,
Alice Jjiang

Dear FOI,

In terms of my previous response, I forgot to mention that if both the 2018 and 2019 data cycle are available, it would be greatly appreciated if both could be provided.

Yours sincerely,
Alice Jjiang

Dear Ms Jjiang,

Thank you for your emails clarifying your response. We have requested for data for the 2018 and 2019 PPE cycle of applicants from the relevant department.

In order to aid their response, please can you clarify the following:

a. When referring to "Canadian" applicants, please can you confirm whether you are referring to Canadian domiciled persons or nationality.
b. With regards to point 6 of your original email, please can you advise as to what "average grade 11 and 12 marks" refers to?

Subject to your clarification of these points, we will send you a substantive response within the statutory period of one month.

Yours sincerely,

Dear FOI,

a. By Canadian, I mean Canadian domiciled persons

b. Since the equivalent to GCSE/A level marks in Canada which are not under the IB system is a percentage out of 100 (0-100%). The transcript sent in by non-IB Canadian domiciled applicants is a list of marks out of 100 with the corresponding course code next to each mark, course codes with the #3 indicate a grade 11 course (e.x. ENG3U1) and course codes with the #4 indicate a grade 12 course (e.x. SPH4U), please send me the individual average percentage marks of the grade 11 and 12 courses of every non-IB Canadian applicant for the cycle of 2018 and 2019. Here is an example of what I am looking for (as long as I get the same type of information, format does not matter to me).

Applicant 1
Grade 11 94.7
Grade 12 93.2

Yours sincerely,
Alice Jjiang

Dear FOI,

Thank you greatly for the time and effort you have put into collecting the information I’ve requested. I’ve looked over it and as helpful as it is with the new insight I’ve learned, there are a few things that are missing from my original request which I would be ever so thankful to receive.

Here is the information that you’ve missed from my original request

3) Number of accepted or deferred entry non-IB Canadian PPE applicants (you provided cycle 2018 & 2019 applicants and shortlists, but I would like to know the number of those shortlisted who were given an offer as well)

4) TSA section 1 and section 2 scores for all non-IB Canadian PPE applicants (please specify which applicants have been shortlisted/accepted/deferred entry) - you did not specify which scores were shortlisted or given offers

5) Interview scores for all non-IB Canadian PPE applicants (please specify which applicants have been accepted/deferred entry) - once again please specify which ones were given an offer

6) Average grade 11 and 12 marks for all non-IB Canadian PPE applicants (please specify which applicants have been shortlisted/accepted/deferred entry) - same here, a pool of marks doesn’t tell me much unless I know which marks were shortlisted/given offers

Please make these altercations to the original spreadsheets, hopefully this will not be too much additional work and since this is all the same request from my original one which you’ve missed out, I will not be filing a new FOI to get this information.

Sorry for the trouble, but please understand I am only seeking what I’ve originally asked for and as great as the information you’ve given me is, it is only useful when I know what the results led to. Thanks once again for your cooperation.

Yours sincerely,
Alice Jjiang
