Dear Mr. Lamerton,

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000

Reference No: F-2011-00728

Thank you for your request for information dated December 7, 2011
requesting non-domestic rates assessments in the Powys County Council area
in excess of £6,000 Rateable Value.

Further to the response provided for you on 11 November, 2011 in respect
of your previous request for details of non-domestic rates assessments in
the Powys County Council area in excess of £10,000 Rateable Value
(F-2011-00640), I am writing to advise you that the information relating
to your request is provided for you in the attached document.

The information supplied relates to NNDR values for commercial property in
the Powys area in excess of £6,000 and up to £10,000. We have already
supplied you with details of rateable values in excess of £10,000 and
therefore we are not obliged to provide this again in response to this
request.

The Property Reference Number has not been made available to you in
response to this request. We do not consider that it is appropriate to
publish the unique identifier relating to each business’ NNDR account. We
believe that should this information become publicly available, it may
contribute to unlawful financial activity relating to the NNDR accounts.
We believe the exemption afforded under Section 31(1)(a) of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000, is engaged in these circumstances because the
disclosure may prejudice the prevention or detection of crime.

Powys County Council does not record Director details or telephone
numbers, we are therefore unable to provide you with this information.

We believe that this request is now complete and shall be closed
immediately. Should any further information be requested regarding this
topic, a separate request will need to be submitted.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in
Powys County Council.

Yours sincerely,
