NMC Disability Referral Stats

Nursing and Midwifery Council Nid oedd gan y wybodaeth y gofynnwyd amdani.

Dear Nursing and Midwifery Council,

I would be grateful if you could provide the following information:

1. Do you collect data on whether those referred for FtP have a disability.

2. Do you collect data on what type of disability the person referred has?

3. For the years 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-2020 and 2020-21, can you provide data on:

a. The number of neurodivergent registrants referred (i.e. those with Autism / ADHD / Dyslexia / Dyspraxia / Dyscalculia / specific learning difficulties).

b. The number of neurodivergent referrals that proceeded to FtP tribunal.

c. The number of neurodivergent individuals who are struck off.

If you are able to subdivide this data into the different neurodiversities then that would ge helpful.

4. If you do not currently collect these statistics, do you plan on bringing in monitoring to ensure that registrants are not being referred to the NMC on the grounds of neurodivergency?

Yours faithfully,

Becky Bates
