Dear Mr Pearce

Thank you for your e-mail, requesting information from the Planning
Inspectorate.

Your request is for a copy of correspondence sent by the West Berkshire
Council's Chief Executive to the Planning Inspectorate, referenced in the
costs decision dated 1st February 2016, related to planning appeal
reference APP/W0304/W/14/3002040.

I can advise that the requested information is not held.  Our published
procedures explain our planning appeal case records are normally destroyed
one year after the issue date of the appeal decision letter.  Accordingly,
with the passage of time involved since the issue of this appeal decision
letter and related costs decision, the Planning Inspectorate no longer
holds appeal documentation.

There is the option to make this request to West Berkshire Council (if you
have not already done so) as a local planning authority is responsible for
maintaining information relevant to the planning history of their area.

Whilst I am not able to assist directly on this occasion, I hope this
response has been helpful in providing clarification. In the event you are
unhappy with the outcome of your request for information, or the way we
handled your request, then you can ask for an internal review.  Details of
our review procedures and contact details for the Information
Commissioner’s Office are set out in the attached leaflet.
