NI & Gender
Dear HM Revenue and Customs,
Further to your response to my recent FOI - your reference FOI2022/20773 could you please advise regarding the following questions -
What happens if the GRC holder does not give permission (for you to be notified of their change of gender) and then doesn't notify you themselves? What happens then? Can they apply for a new NI in their new identity and get a fresh one as that new legal personality?
Yours faithfully,
Vikki Lax

Thank you for your communication of 5 June.
We have allocated the above reference which you should quote if you need

more appropriate part of the Department for answer.
While we aim to resp ond to all freedom of information requests within 20

we will, where possible, write to you explaining the reason for the delay
and provide an estimated time for response.
Yours sincerely
