Nationalisation of the Bank - evidence
Dear Bank of England,
I have been told that the Bank of England was entirely nationalised in 1946. Since the bank of England sits on the sovereign territory of the Corporation of London, I am wondering who it was nationalised by - the Westminster government or the independent Corporation of London? Is there an act, statute or certificate of purchase evidencing the nationalisation which indicates one way or t'other? Many thanks for your help.
Yours faithfully,
Luke Peters

The bank of england may be nationlized but the profit centers (money creation) are with the commercial banks.
