Morrisons branch at St Andrews Retail Park in Birmingham on Friday 09/07/2021

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Wm Morrison Supermarkets Limited should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc,

My name is Fadumo, I went shopping at your Morrisons branch at St Andrews Retail Park in Birmingham on Friday 09/07/2021 between the hours of 21:15 to 21:30 pm. I used the self self service check out and as I was about to walk out when finished towards the self service exit I slipped on a wet floor (milk) without a sign stating anything. I had fallen very hard on my right leg. At that moment I had no help from the staff working there. I was more of an inconvenience because of the verbal abuse I experienced from staff yelling at me to get up and move along as I was to them holding up a queue. I was in excruciating pain from the fall and getting up was proven to be very difficult for me. I was hurried and quite frankly treated in such a inhumane way! When a staff member approached me I asked why there was not a sign to inform customers and her reply to me was ''there's a trolley put there to stop people from walking on it''. I replied ''milk is liquid so it travels''. The security guard said ''to get up otherwise he'll call the police''. He didn't show any empathy or offered to help me. My foot is swollen from the top of my ankle and the swelling is travelling to my toes now. I have been publicly humiliated while I was on the floor in pain and crying. I would like to take this matter further and by here request the cctv.

Yours faithfully,

Fadumo Omar
