Yn disgwyl am adolygiad mewnol gan Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities o'u triniaeth o'r cais hwn.

Dear Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government,

On March 4 2019 Greg Knight MP for East Yorkshire asked ... what monitoring takes place to ensure that local authorities are fulfilling their duties in ensuring that new buildings are compliant with building regulations.

Kit Malthouse responded that "The Department carries out a regular Building Control Performance Standards survey to monitor work by local authorities to ensure that new buildings are compliant with the building regulations."

The most important aspect of Local Authorities' work, from the perspective of the BUYER of a new property, is that site inspections are carried out in accordance with the BCPS. I have read "The Annual report and analysis of building control performance indicators: 2015 to 2016" and can find nothing of relevance there.

I request information on the results of the most recent survey of Local Authority compliance with Section 6 , Site Inspection and Section 7, Communication and Records of the BCPS.

Yours faithfully,

SJ Amyes

Dear Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government's handling of my FOI request 'Monitoring the work of local authority building control to ensure that new buildings are compliant with the building regulations'.

I note that the Ministry is refusing to release the requested information as “collating and analysing this information in advance of planned publication would cause a considerable disruption to normal business”. There is, however, some relevant information that must be readily available for release without further delay:
Please provide a list of data collected for analysis in the Building Control Performance Standards survey, including questions asked.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Yours faithfully,

SJ Amyes
