As part of ongoing data sharing protocols, incidents stored either on a log or the Force Crime System (FCS) relating to slavery and human trafficking are shared with the Home Office for reporting purposes.

Please provide the number of incident reports logged by your constabulary under the following opening codes between the periods of 1 June 2019 and September 31 2019. Please provide a figure for each code.

N200/01 - NRM referral pending reasonable grounds decision
N200/02 – NRM referral negative reasonable grounds decision
N200/03 – NRM referral - Duty to notify only
N200/04 – NRM referral – Positive reasonable Grounds/Police Referral – Outside England and Wales
N200/05 – NRM referral – Negative reasonable Grounds – Outside England/Wales
N200/06 –NRM referral – transferred to another force in England and Wales

Please note that logged incidents should not be omitted on the basis of their eventual recording status. This request is for incident reports that fit the above criteria, which may or may not eventually be recorded.

Please also provide a separate figure for the number of /recorded/ within the same time period.

Thank you for your request for information dated 09/12/2019 , concerning
Slavery and Human Trafficking.
 
Dyfed-Powys Police acknowledge receipt of your request which is being
processed under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 however, prior to
processing the request please would you clarify
 
-       Is the request referring to incidents (999/101 calls) or crimes
(whereby an offence has been committed)?
 
After receiving the clarification, your request will then be considered
and you will receive a response within the statutory timescale of 20
working days as defined by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, subject to
the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a third
party. If we do not receive clarification from you within 40 working days,
then your request will be closed.
 
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of
the information you request. If this is the case you will be informed and
the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment
from you. If you chose not to make a payment then your request will remain
unanswered.

Dear FOI team,

Thank you for your request for clarification. Please provide the opening codes in the same fashion in which you would report to the Home Office under the Counting Rules policy introduced in 2016. I have clarified in my initial request that opening codes should be provided regardless of whether these cases eventually result in an incident being recorded as a crime. This aspect of my original request still stands.

Please note that other police forces have provided methodologies and clarifications, at their discretion, where data has been provided as per the opening codes but where additional information exists (for example, where cases were initially logged as slavery incidents but are later recognised under different categories). However, this is not necessary to fulfil my original request.

Please be advised that the codes provided are not opening codes they are crime outcomes for N200 offences. Therefore please can you clarify whether you want the number of crimes with those crime outcomes or something other.
