FOI Team, Cabinet Office

Dear Christopher Lamb,

Thank you for your request for information of 6 January 2015.  In your
request you asked:

‘I request disclosure of minutes and records kept in paper and electronic
form of meetings and correspondence between Alastair Campbell and members
of the WMD: Programmes of Concern group covering the full duration of its
operations.’
Following a search of our paper and electronic records the Cabinet Office
have been unable to establish the existence of a WMD: Programmes of
Concern Group.  To assist the Cabinet Office in locating the information
you are seeking, I should be grateful if you would clarify your meaning of
the ‘Group’ and provide a more specific date range to perform our search
within.
It may be helpful if I explain that the information you seek, if held, may
be subject to one or more of the exemptions in the Freedom of Information
Act and it may not be possible to disclose any information.

Regards

Dear FOI Team,

Thank you for your e-mail. By 'Group', I mean those senior civil servants and others who worked on the 'WMD: Programmes of Concern' papers. Please refer to the link I included in my original e-mail containing the FoI request which I intended to be of help in identifying who I meant.

Yours sincerely,

christopher lamb

Dear FOI Team Mailbox,

Thank you for your reply of 24 February. Rather than submit a new FoI request I shall clarify further the existing one along the lines you suggest.

If you access again the link I provided in my original request to the 'WMD: Programmes of Concern' records released under a previous FoI request, my clarification focuses upon Documents 7 and 8 contained within those records. Both these documents refer to meetings or communications with Alastair Campbell. The documents are dated 06 and 11 March 2002.

In my clarified request, I ask for disclosure of all records kept of these meetings between the senior civil servants cited in Documents 7 and 8 and Alastair Campbell. The purpose cited for these comminucations or meetings was setting the 'presentational' tone of the WMD Programmes of Concern papers, particularly if they were to be made into a public report.

Yours sincerely,

christopher lamb
