Minutes and/of records of communication between Alastair Campbell and senior civil servants contributing to 'WMD: Programmes of Concern'
Dear Prime Minister’s Office,
I have submitted a freedom of information request to the Cabinet Office which I refined as;
Dear FOI Team Mailbox,
Thank you for your reply of 24 February. Rather than submit a new
FoI request I shall clarify further the existing one along the
lines you suggest.
'If you access again the link I provided in my original request to
the 'WMD: Programmes of Concern' records released under a previous
FoI request, my clarification focuses upon Documents 7 and 8
contained within those records. Both these documents refer to
meetings or communications with Alastair Campbell. The documents
are dated 06 and 11 March 2002.
In my clarified request, I ask for disclosure of all records kept
of these meetings between the senior civil servants cited in
Documents 7 and 8 and Alastair Campbell. The purpose cited for
these comminucations or meetings was setting the 'presentational'
tone of the WMD Programmes of Concern papers, particularly if they
were to be made into a public report'.
The Cabinet Office have stated that they do not have the information I seek. I, thus, send the request to your office to enquire whether you have it. The Documents cited from the "WMD: Programmes of Concern' papers previously released following a freedom of information request refer to meetings with Alastair Campbell. If you do not have the information, perhaps you might be able to enlighten me as to who does or disclose whether these meetings were ever minuted or recorded.
For your information here is a link to the original disclosure;
