Merton's Management & Maintenance Plans for parks and green spces
Dear Merton Borough Council,
The Management and Maintenance Plan (2017) for The Canons states that "The London Borough of Merton is developing management plans for each of its flagship parks, elite sports grounds and amenity parks and open spaces." (paragraph 1.6)
Please provide a copies of those plans which have been completed and identify those where work is underway or is intended along with expected completion dates.
Please also provide the "detailed Schedule of Maintenance operations, which summarises the tasks, their frequency, and timings" referenced in Objective 7A (page 81) for The Canons and its equivalent for each of the locations elsewhere where management plans have or are being developed.

Our response:
Canons’ management plan is a working document and therefore is constantly
evolving. The reference to other park sites has been removed in order to
ensure the focus remains on the Canons site whilst still considering the
wider inputs from our service provider Idverde.
If you have any queries or concerns about this please contact me.
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request or wish to
appeal against the decision to exempt any part of your request, you should

This is referenced simply because it states that "The London Borough of Merton is developing management plans for each of its flagship parks, elite sports grounds and amenity parks and open spaces." Your response to my request for an Internal Review states "The Council holds six management and maintenance plans within the scope of your request"
I am aware of other plans which also fall within its scope, such as that for Wandle Meadow Nature Park (https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/1...), Cranmer Green (https://www.merton.gov.uk/assets/Documen...) and the Lower Wandle (https://www.merton.gov.uk/assets/Documen...).
Please will you confirm it is still your view that only six such plans are held or otherwise explain the existence of these other plans, My request is for all the plans held by Merton Council to be provided.

Management plans are working documents which require updating in order to
keep them relevant. The management plans we currently hold are for the 6
Green Flag sites, which have already been provided to you and Canons
Management & Maintenance plan.
