Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Can you please justify why PIP assessors are using a non diagnostic dementia screening tool to decide on people's cognitive abilities and mental health conditions? I refer to the mental state examination which is a version of the Folstein test developed to screen for signs of dementia.
