Mental Health Units

We're waiting for Rachael Venables to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Merseyside Police,

How many reports of rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, or other forms of sexual misconduct have been recorded in Mental Health in-patient units over the past five years? (1st December 2016- 30th November 2021)

For each case please include the date the report was received, the crime-type and the outcome - e.g. whether an arrest, charge or no action taken. If possible, please state whether the accused was a member of staff or patient.

If it's not possible to release the exact date, please progress with the request without that detail included.

Yours faithfully,

Rachael Venables

Dear Freedom Of Information,

Thank you so much for the response to my request. I have one follow up if that's ok? You list 16 cases as having been charged/ resolved. Could you provide further breakdown of how many were charged and what constitutes 'resolved?'

Yours sincerely,
