Thank you for your email of 14th October requesting information regarding
Staff Mental Health First Aid Training at Keele University. 

 

Where you asked:

 

1) I would like to receive information about the number of your full-time
employees who have a mental health first aid certificate.
The total number of staff currently employed on a full-time contract and
having completed the University’s Mental Health First Aid Training since
its introduction in 2015/16 is 48.

 

This data relates to the University's internal two-day Mental Health First
Aid workshop.  Relevant staff have also undertaken additional mental
health training including Mental Health Awareness, Mental Health
Instructor and Champion Training.

2) I would like to also kindly ask for the total number of students
attending your university at the moment.

Information on student numbers for the previous academic year is published
at the beginning of each calendar year on the [1]HESA website, therefore
the requested data is not provided in this response by virtue of Section
22 of the Freedom of Information Act, ‘information intended for future
publication’. The latest available online data for total student numbers
in 2017/18 can be found at:
