Dear Edinburgh College,

Under the Freedom of Information Act can you please provide me with the following information:

On a ratio of 1 per 1000 students, how many did withdraw this academic year?

How many of these students indicated they had mental health issues or required counselling support?

What was the attainment rate of students with disabilities in your institution in Academic Year 13/14; 14/15; and 15/16?

Dear Jim

Thank you for your request for information received below, which we have
dealt with in accordance with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act
2002.

As of 1 October 2012, Edinburgh’s Telford College, Jewel & Esk College and
Stevenson College merged to create a single college called Edinburgh
College.

We refer to your information request and can advise you as follows:

On a ratio of 1 per 1000 students, how many did withdraw this academic
year?

145 out of every 1000 students withdrew in the current academic year,
session 2015-16.

How many of these students indicated they had mental health issues or
required counselling support?

The college does not record mental health as a reason for withdrawal.

What was the attainment rate of students with disabilities in your
institution in Academic Year 13/14; 14/15; and 15/16?
