Medomsley Child Sexual Abuse

The request was successful.

Dear Crown Prosecution Service,

Victims of child sexual absue have already been let down by authority. 14 times it was reported to Police since 1968. it is important that justice is as swift as possible.

Can you tell me how many files the CPS have received on abuse at Medomsley?
Can you tell how what dates you received each of them ?

Dear Freedom of Information Unit,

The promised delayed response due on 10th March has not come either. Can you tell me on what part of the FOI Act you are relying on to delay, and why you cannot keep your promises even for a response? " If we cannot provide a final response on that date we will provide you with an update."

Dear Freedom of Information Unit,

Thank you. Please could you tell the the dates on each MG3 and send me a copy of a blank MG3 form

"The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) does not hold a record of how many files have been received by the CPS and the dates that they were received on this case. Material has been provided to the CPS as the investigation has progressed and we can confirm 30 suspect MG3s (an MG3 is a form requesting a charging decision) have been submitted following ongoing investigations into allegations of abuse at Medomsley."

Yours sincerely,

Cathy Fox

Dear Freedom of Information Unit,
Thank you

Further to my last email which I include so that it is all in one place for you, I have just been informed, from a reliable source, that the number of suspects that police have sent on details for is 32, so I wonder if you could double check that for me, so I can try and ascertain where the anomaly is happening

Please could you tell the the dates on each MG3 and send me a copy of a blank MG3 form

Dear Freedom of Information Unit,

Further to my last email /request please which I include below to keep things in one place, could you assist me with the whole process of how the CPS and Police work when advice on charging and a charging decision is asked for by police, including what names of forms and a blank of each. eg I know that Police can ask CPS for advice, and also a reply mentioned "Material has been provided to the CPS as the investigation has progressed "
I realise that the whole request will be delayed as to 20 working days from today.

Dear Freedom of Information Unit,

Thanks very much that's brilliant. Just what I needed. I am confused though why there are only 20 as opposed to 30 or 32. Could you also just tell me what a MG20 is ,and if you have a blank of that. Many thanks

Yours sincerely,

Cathy Fox

Dear Ms Fox,

I refer to your Freedom of Information (FOI) request which we received on 16/03/17.

I am sorry but we are not in a position to respond to your request within the 20 working day time frame imposed by the FOI Act.

We aim to respond by 20/04/17.

If we cannot provide a final response on that date we will provide you with an update.

Please accept our apologies for the delay.

In relation to the questions below:

The dates provided include only the MG's where dates were imputed into the contact field from the officer.

In regards to the MG20 this is a form used by the police, titled 'Further Evidence/Information Report'. Again as this is a document completed by the police, you may wish to refer this aspect of your request to them.

Yours sincerely
