Dear Mr Brown,
We have been looking at information we may hold in response to your
request and I need to ask you to clarify some elements of your request.
Oxford Brookes University does not have a specific "mathematics
department", but rather a [1]Department of Mechanical Engineering and
Mathematical Sciences.  Can I clarify whether you are seeking information
concerning all students admitted to this department, or information
relating just to those students in that department who are studying
mathematics or mathematical sciences?
We would also propose using the UCAS definition with regard to mature
students (namely "any student aged 21 or over at the start of their
studies").  Could you clarify if that is an appropriate criterion for us
to use for the purpose of your request?
Could you also clarify that by "2015", you are referring to the academic
year 2015/16, rather than the calendar year?
Once we have received clarification we will be able to proceed with your
request.
Thank you for your attention.
Yours
