Matalan carpark terms & agreement of use

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Chesterfield Borough Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Chesterfield Borough Council,

I would like information as to whether Euro Car Parks (as the operator) or the landowner at Matalan on Chatsworth Road in Chesterfield have planning consent for signage and the use of ANPR cameras on site.

Also, what the agreed terms are for the use of this carpark.

Yours faithfully,

P. Shipp

Dear Julie Sparks,

Many thanks for your response. I have read that to display ANPR cameras on private property extended from poles DOES require planning permission along with signage. Do you know this to be the case as this is how the cameras are displayed in the Matalan carpark along with signage affixed to the building. Can you please advise if this is correct as you have confirmed in your previous letter that no planning applications have been received from the landowner for permission to do this?

Yours sincerely,

Philippa Shipp

Dear Julie Sparks,

I wrote to the council informing that Eurocaroarks have no planning permission for the use of anpr cameras. I also provided evidence. Can you please confirm that they now have this or not as the council wrote back to me to say they would investigate? The cameras are still there and being used so I hope this matter wasn’t dropped.

Yours sincerely,

Philippa Shipp
