Dear Mr J Donaghue

Re: Your Freedom of Information Request

I write in response to in response to your Freedom of Information request.

Managed moves in schools over the last two academic years (2018/19 and
2017/18)

The number of children who have had a managed move   2017-2018=
97            2018-2019= 108

The number of children who have had more than one managed move = 0

The number of managed moves that were successful (i.e. where children
remained in their school beyond the 12-week period) 2017-2018= 39
2018-2019= 50

The reason why the managed moves were unsuccessful (if recorded) – School
Behaviour Policy breached during student trial period.

Please note that Luton have further developed the In Year Fair Access
Protocol with the aim of reducing the number of managed moves and
improving the success rate.

I hope this information is helpful.
