LSE MSc Behavioural Science admissions statistics
Dear London School of Economics,
I am looking for admission statistics (last three years) for the following courses:
MSc Behavioural Science - Full-time
MSc Behavioural Science - Part-time
For home students only please.
Entries Include: Applications received, Offers made
Yours faithfully,
Michael Stalley
Thank you for your email. As you will appreciate, information requests
place additional demands on the School in terms of costs and staff time.
At present we are having to prioritise our finite resources in order to
meet the unprecedented challenges we are facing during the Coronavirus
(COVID-19) pandemic. As such, we need to advise you that while we will
continue to process individual requests, you may experience some delay in
our response during the current pandemic.
Dear Michael
Further to your recent FoI request, the Schools response is provided
below:
MSc Behavioural Science (home) students for the two years that have
complete data:
Year Number of applications Number of offers
2019/0 115 22
2020/1 118 48
Please Note:
a. The programme was first introduced in 2019/0.
b. For Covid-related reasons the two cycles 2019/0 and 2020/1 are not
directly comparable.
c. Data relating to the 2021/2 cycle changes daily as the application
cycle is ongoing.
d. Data relating to the 2021/22 cycle is exempt for release under Section
22 of the FoI Act at this time, as the information is scheduled for
publication once the cycle is completed.
Could I ask you to think about the underlying question that is prompting
your data request. If you are attempting to find out what are your chances
of getting a place, remember that this cannot be answered by reference to
data. Applications are considered on their individual merits, based on a
holistic view of your supporting documents in the context of the current
cohort. Figures from previous years will not offer any insight on your
application. Your best way to find the answer is to apply.
If you think that the information provided does not meet your request,
contact Rachael Maguire on 020 7849 4622 or write to Louise Nadal, School
Secretary, London School of Economics and Political Science, Houghton
Street, London, WC2A 2AE. We will then review the response to your request
and get back to you within 20 working days. You can also contact the
Information Commissioner's Office [1]http://www.ico.gov.uk/, though they
expect the internal review to be carried out before receiving a complaint
directly.

Thanks Paul,
I appreciate the quick reply, but I am not referring to the Executive course.
On this web page, https://www.lse.ac.uk/study-at-lse/Gradu..., there is a distinction between full-time and part-time, both under the code C8UD.
I am looking to see the application and offer numbers for each mode of study under the C8UD course.
Yours sincerely,
Michael Stalley
