log on the conclusion of actitivies at 103/104 Broad Street Blaenavon

The request was partially successful.

Dear Sir or Madam, I write for and on behalf of Mr. Riaz Ali the landlord of the property known as 104 Broad Street Blaenavon. The property has been the subject of a long running dispute, that has at times required the presents of the police to prevent a breach of the peace. I attended a meeting with Mr. Ali at Pontypool Police Station, also present was our member of the community Police liaison Cllr. Tom Huish. Mr Ali had requested the meeting because his, then tenant, Mr Phillip Gale was receiving threats from the occupiers of the take-away at 103 Broad Street. (the other supposed owners of the upstairs rooms) Inspector Jackson took the meeting and assured Both Mr Ali and Cllr Huish that until the situation had been resolved through the court, the tenants rights would be upheld. Inspector Jackson was aware the a gang had attempted to brake into the property on no less that 4 occasions. each time the police were called, as the gang had made threats of violence toward his tennant. We beleive the Ramhat Ali family (no relation)receive a police caution, stating that they would be liable to immediate arrest if they attempted to force entry again.

On the day that the final entry was made by Gwent police, in relation to this case the gang again attempted to brake in to the property. the police attended, I arrived with Mr Ali the landlord of 104, the police did not speak with us regarding the incident, the police were apparently shown a piece of paper, the officer dealing contacted Inspector Jackson, who allowed the gang to take immediate possession of the rooms. I inform the officer that there was a tennant living in the flat and that we were assured that nothing could happen until the court case.
my request today on behalf of Mr Riaz Ali is for a copy of the document that was shown to the officer, and relayed to the Inspector. Mr. Ali feels that he should have been shown the document, and given the opportunity to respond. Mr Ali is available for comment and confomation via my contact number 01495 792443

Yours faithfully,
