Dear Mr Wynter,

I write further to my email below to advise that I will need clarification
from you in order to progress your request.

Our service area have advised that they are unable to answer the first
part of questions 1 and 2 as the County Council do not hold a list of all
care homes in the county. The Care Quality Commission holds the most
comprehensive list, please see link below:

[1]http://www.cqc.org.uk/

In respect of the second part of questions 1 and 2, we are not sure if you
mean the number of adults in LA homes as a percentage of the total number
of adults in homes (we would only have a figure for those we have placed)
or the number of LA homes as a percentage of the total number of homes. We
cannot answer the second option as we do not hold a number of total homes
as outlined above. We could of course provide the number of LA (Olympus
Care Services) homes for questions 1 and 2.

For question 3, housing/homelessness falls under the jurisdiction of the
District and Borough councils and so you will need to contact them direct.
To assist you, I have attached contact details.

Your request will be suspended whilst clarification is sought and so I
look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks and kind regards

Hello Sarah,
Thank you for your speedy response.

We will look at the CQC for more information as you have suggested. We will also contact the district council's in respect of homelessness.

Hope this makes things clearer for you, we are inquiring how much the Local Authority has placed the elderly (60+) and adults with learning disabilities (know that your Local Authority would not be aware necessarily of any private arrangements made). into the following kind of placements:

o Residential Care Home
o 24 hour supported living (small group living together with 24 hour
support)
o Individuals living individually but in a block of apartments, where
there is support available within the block either 24 hours a day, or
during the day (but not overnight)

This is so we can understand what kind of support/care is being provided to the elderly and adults with learning disabilities within the Local Authority.

Just to clarify with you is Olympus homes your preferred current care provider, is this why you would want to provide us with their contact details.

Yours sincerely,

Everton Wynter
