Local Housing Allowance rates for exempt accommodation

We're waiting for Graeme St Leger to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Dorset Council,

Could you please provide an answer to the following two questions. These being;
- Please could you provide the average local housing allowance rate for exempt accommodation paid in 2019/2020?; and
- Please could you provide the highest local housing allowance rate for exempt accommodation paid in 2019/2020?

If the rates for 2019/2020 are not yet available then could you please provide the same information as requested for 2018/2019.

We would like to ask you for some clarification; technically Local Housing
Allowance cannot be paid in exempt accommodation cases, although Housing
Benefit can. Could you please specify whether you were asking about Local
Housing Allowance or do you really mean Housing Benefit?

 

Please respond as soon as you can, so that we can proceed with your
request. In the meantime, your request has been put on hold. Once your
clarification is received, the 20 working day deadline for us to respond
to your request will begin. 

 

However, if we do not receive your clarification within one calendar month
of this email, we will assume that you no longer require this information
and we will take no further action. Under Section 1(3) of the FOIA, a
public authority need not comply with a request unless any further
