Local Community offered Millions each year for allowing a Geological Waste Facility in their area.
Dear Nuclear Decommissioning Authority,
My request for information concerns the Government's Policy to implement a Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) for Higher Activity Wastes and in particular the "promise" to "reward" local communities that "volunteer" a site for a GDF millions of pounds per year.
What (by and with reference to recorded "information") does "local community" mean? and; How does the millions of pounds offered manifest itself? (By which I mean what can the local community spend the money on? and How do they gain access to the money?)
