List of Pharmacies that provide NHS Minor Ailments service
Dear NHS England,
I beleive that there is a service called "NHS Minor Ailments service" which has been running for the last 8 years. I discoverd this information via the Boots website where it states;
"If you don't pay for prescriptions you may be able to receive advice and be given a medicine for a range of minor ailments, free of charge, on the NHS, without having to visit your doctor first. Minor ailments could include coughs, colds, headaches, hay fever, insect bites and stings, eczema, earache and diarrhoea."
They (Boots) say they do not have a list of their Pharmacies that are part of this service but one would assume that for monitoring purposes that you have a list of these pharmacies in England. Would it be possible for you to provide me with the list or details of the relevant authority that would have said list.
Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Stanford,

NHS England does not hold this information.
It may help if I explain that the NHS in England is not a single
organisation, but is made up of a range of organisations including
Hospitals, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Ambulance Trusts and
other organisations. NHS England are responsible for commissioning primary
care services such as GP and dental surgeries, as well as some specialised
secondary care services. As such, any recorded information which NHS
England may be able to provide in response to an FOI request will
generally relate to the services commissioned by NHS England. Further
information on commissioned services and the types of information NHS
England holds can be found on our [1]website and [2]publication scheme.
CCGs are responsible for commissioning Minor Ailment Schemes and as such
you may wish to redirect your enquiry to CCGs directly. You can find CCG
contact information on the NHS Choices website at the following web link:
