Dear Belfast City Council,

Could you please supply me with the details of all empty properties you hold on your register and details of the property owners wherever possible.
I request the details for domestic and retail and commercial properties within your area.
Our agency helps with protecting vacant properties from possible risks associated with vacant premises.

We felt that the ‘’old’’ way of managing properties needed to be transformed to offer a fully managed solution at no cost to the property owner.

This started with the philosophy that WPM will truly look after your investment and improve long term returns, or for non-investment properties, we will maintain its integrity and security.

At the centre of this story is one big idea, a committed, loyal and trustworthy Guardian community that will protect the owner's property from the threat of fire, squatting, theft and vandalism.

Heading into a period of the Christmas holidays whereby squatting and wanton vandalism occurs more frequently in the vacant property market, in exchange for us managing your property, we are offering the following

Yours faithfully,

FOI, Belfast City Council

Dear Ms Lyshetti

Thank you for your email dated 10 December 2019 requesting, under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000, information on empty domestic and
commercial properties.

I must advise you that Belfast City Council does not hold the information
you have requested.  This is because in Northern Ireland district
councils, such as Belfast City Council, do not have the same statutory
functions as those in Great Britain.  However, Land and Property Services
may be able to assist you further with your request.  You may, therefore,
wish to re-direct your request to this agency.  Freedom of information
requests can be submitted to Land and Property Services using the
following e-mail address:- [1][email address].

If you are dissatisfied with how the Council handled your request for
information, you have the right to request that the Council formally
review this decision.  If you wish to do so, please write to the Records
Manager, Information Governance Unit, Legal and Civic Services, Belfast
City Council, City Hall, Belfast, BT1 5GS.

Should you remain dissatisfied following the Council's internal review,
you can seek an independent review from the Information Commissioner.
Requests for an independent review should be made in writing to: The
Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire,
SK9 5AF.  However, I would advise you that the Information Commissioner
has indicated that a review will not be undertaken unless the Council has
first had an opportunity to re-consider its decision.

Yours sincerely
