List of council housing addresses
Dear City of Edinburgh Council,
Please supply a list (spreadsheet or similar is fine) of all council housing under your remit.
Please also supply a list of ex-council housing (ie properties bought out under right-to-buy etc).
I request this on the basis that another council Welyn Hatfield Borough Council has already completed similar FOI request. https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/l...
Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Smith
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 - Partial Release of
Information
Subject: List of Council Housing Addresses
Thank you for your request for information of 03/09/2018, which has been
processed under the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act
2002. Unfortunately, the Council is only able to meet part of your
request; this information is released to you now in the format requested.
Please accept my apologies for the significant delay in responding. I
shall address each of your questions in turn.
You asked the following:
Q1. Please supply a list (spreadsheet or similar is fine) of all council
housing under your remit.
A1. Please refer to the following attached document:
20333 Q1 Data
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a greater level of detail as we
consider identifying specific addresses of City of Edinburgh Council
housing stock would be a breach of the Data Protection Act 2018 in terms
of fair processing as it would not be fair, lawful or expected for
information which could identify individuals and their circumstances to be
released into the public domain. This information would therefore be
exempt in terms of Section 38(1)(b) read in conjunction with Section
38(2)(a)(i) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Please note that this letter constitutes a formal refusal notice under
section 16 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Edinburgh postcode areas are available through Internet searches such as:
[2]http://www.doogal.co.uk/UKPostcodes.php
Q2. Please also supply a list of ex-council housing (i.e. properties
bought out under right-to-buy etc.).
A2. Please refer to the following attached document:
20333 Q2 Data
Again, the full postal addresses of these properties have been withheld
for the reasons detailed above in A1.
To promote transparency and accountability, please note it is the
Council’s policy to publish all request details and responses made under
the freedom of information legislation. This information will be made
available through the Council’s website and will not include your personal
details. The disclosure log is available at the following link:
