list of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in local communities.

The request was refused by Home Office.

Dear Home Office,

Please send me a list of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) that you work with as part of the CONTEST strategy. Please include with the list the amount of funding or material support that is given to each organisation, if any.

Some quick notes - if you are planning on replying with a 'information NOT held' refusal, then please see this tender: https://www.tenderlake.com/home/tender/2..., where it is clear that the information has already been collected for later evaluation.

If you are planning on replying with a 'costs to much' refusal then, we are happy to take the information that has already been prepared as part of the tender mentioned above.

If you are planning on replying with a 'commercially sensitive' refusal, then please see the ico's guidelines here: https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisatio... and note that we aren't asking for any information about the competitive tendering process or any commercial partners - we are asking for names of third sector organisations and their amount of funding.

A good example of the sort of output we are interested in would look like this:
Name, Amount
Samaritans, £40,000
Save the Children, £180,000
Superkids, £0

Yours faithfully,

Joe

Dear OSCTFOI,

Thank you for your prompt reply, it's very good to see the rapid turnaround.

Thank you for confirming that you have the list, my follow up question is as follows.

For each CSO on the list, please release the scheme under which it was added to the list. Please make it clear if it was added as a result of a public application process or by directly contacting the organisation. Note we are only interested in the process by which these organisations were engaged. A sample response might look like this:

Organisation Number, Scheme
1, Applied to public tender X
2, Applied to public tender X
3, Directly contacted as a leader in the field
4, Applied for grant Y
5, Applied for grant Z
6, Unknown, information was added by Local Authority B.

Please make it clear if who holds the information if it was via another public body. Also: please give as much information as you can in your reply, if some are covered under an exception, please give all the information that isn't covered.

Yours sincerely,

Joe (Reddington, obvs)

Dear OSCTFOI,

To clarify, are you aware that you were not asked for the names of the organisations and I deliberately didn't ask for any identifying aspects of those organisations - only the amounts of money spend and the schemes they were spent under?

Yours sincerely,

Joe
