Please disclose the information you hold (including emails, reports and
memoranda) on any investigations into or assessments of the legality of
the RSPCA (a private body not subject to the FOIA) being permitted access
to the Police National Computer.

Further to our acknowledgement dated 5 July 2013 we are now in a position
to respond to your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.
 
On 5 July 2013 you requested the following information:
 
“Please disclose the information you hold (including emails, reports and
memoranda) on any investigations into or assessments of the legality of
the RSPCA (a private body not subject to the FOIA) being permitted access
to the Police National Computer”.
 
 
Response to request
 
In response to your request, we have searched our electronic case
management system for assessments /complaints submitted about the RSPCA in
relation to access to Police National Computer (PNC) records. We have also
consulted with all relevant areas of the business regarding contact with
the RSPCA or the PNC specifically in relation to access of the RSPCA to
PNC records. Unfortunately, no information is held in relation to your
request.

The Independent Advisor for Criminality Information Management (Mrs Sunita
Mason) published two reports regarding her review of the criminal records
