Land sales

Mae'r ymateb i'r cais hwn yn hwyr iawn. Yn ôl y gyfraith, ym mhob amgylchiad, dylai Hillingdon Borough Council fod wedi ymateb erbyn hyn. (manylion). Gallwch gwyno drwy yn gofyn am adolygiad mewnol.

Dear Hillingdon Borough Council,

I was surprised to see HS2 Ltd had taken ownership of the whole of Park Lodge Farm in Harefield.
It strikes me this was a precious asset for the people of Hillingdon and of course the Howie family.
How much did you sell it for?
What will the money be used for?
Were the people of Hillingdon informed?
What safeguards are attached to the sale regarding the exlandfill site under the farm?
What safeguards are in place regarding the flow of toxic leachate, and how it affects HS2 work close by?
What safeguards are in place to uphold greenbelt status?
What consideration was given to this land being beyond the Limit of Land to be Acquired or Used by HS2 Ltd?

Yours faithfully,

Marrk Keir

Dear Marrk Keir,

I am writing in response to your request for information below.

The Council has not sold the entire Park Lodge Farm Estate.  HS2 Ltd has
vested only the land required to build, operate and mitigate for the
impacts of the railway.  The Council would advise you to contact HS2 Ltd
to determine the exact extent of land they have acquired.

Green Belt Policies are secured through the Local Plan process and are not
linked to land ownership.

Matters relating to the protection of groundwater from HS2 works should be
directed towards HS2 Ltd and/or the Environment Agency.

If you have any queries regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to
contact me.

If you wish to request an internal review of our response you should
write, within 2 months, to:

Office Managing Partner, Legal Services, Civic Centre, High St, Uxbridge,
UB8 1UW (or via email to [1][Hillingdon Borough Council request email] marked for the attention
of the Office Managing Partner).

Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future
communications.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The
Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information Commissioner’s
Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Dear FOI,

I find it quite incredible that you refer me to HS2 Ltd to find out what of Hillingdon's land has been sold to HS2. Surely London Borough of Hillingdon should know? I'm quite sure most residents would expect you to know too? Don't you have a responsibility to your residents to know?
My question arose because HS2 Ltd have told me they own the whole of Patk Lodge Estate.
As for the question of water/leachate/aquifer, I believe you are ignoring your statutory duties with this reply. Could you please tell me what you believe to be your statutory duties in this regard.

Yours sincerely,

Marrk Keir
