Lack of North East suppliers to BritishVolt, Cambois

Northumberland County Council Nid oedd gan y wybodaeth y gofynnwyd amdani.

I’m writing to understand why Britishvolt keeps on rejecting North East suppliers in favour of those based in the South.

I’ve been online looking at their suppliers (who really are not shy in promoting their links with Britishvolt). So we have London based accountants, London based lawyers and London based consultants. The engineers are from the South East as is the construction company.

Therefore I would like to know:

1. Does the Council have a list of Britishvolt suppliers it can provide? Are any from the North East?

2. Has the Council given any grants to the Britishvolt and if so, have conditions been included to:

(I) oblige Britishvolt to consider North East suppliers; and

(II) include North East people on the board?

Yours
