How may work related stress incident records HSE hold for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council?

Your request was received on 14 March 2018 and I am dealing with it under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act).

There are two ways in which incidents could be notified to HSE. One is under the statutory legal duty to report certain accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences under the RIDDOR regulations 2013 see: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/...

There is not a requirement to report work related stress incidents under RIDDOR.

The other way an incident could be brought to our attention is if it was raised as a concern with our Concerns team see: http://www.hse.gov.uk/contact/concerns.htm. I have checked our records for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and no concerns regarding work related stress have been reported to us.

You may wish to consider making a Freedom of information request direct to the Council themselves as they are subject to the Act and may be better placed to advise you on how many incidents they are aware of.
