Dear Rachael,

FOI1497

Please see the attached spreadsheet and answers below in response to your
FOI request:-

1.       Divided by month, please tell me how many incidents you attended
following reports of a 'stabbing' or 'injury with a blade, from January
2014 to February 2019.

Please see the attached spreadsheet. Please note that the figures in the
report are incidents related to stabbings, which also includes
self-inflicted incidents attended by the North West Ambulance Service.

2.       For each, can you provide any information (if possible) about the
victim i.e. age and gender, as well as the incident location type.

Please see the attached spreadsheet. Please note that patient age is based
on information provided by the caller during the emergency call. In some
cases the age provided may not be correct depending on whether or not the
patient is known to the caller.

In relation to location type, we are unable to provide this as we do not
consistently record property type on our system.

3.       What was the total number of incidents you attended, divided by
month from January 2014 to February 2019?

Please see the attached spreadsheet.

I trust this information is of assistance and would ask that if you intend
to use the information in a future media article or broadcast, we are
given the opportunity to provide a qualifying comment.
