Your Freedom of Information request has been considered. 

Your Request  
Please supply, by financial year, since your inception, the following for
Kingston borough:

1. The number of potential friends and family carers assessments made for
kinship care foster carer status.
2. Of the above, the number that were successful.
3. The number of friends and family carers assessed as temporary status
foster carers.
4. The number of friends and family carers assessments made for kinship
care foster carer status.
5. Of the above, the number that were successful
Response
Below are our findings from accessible Fostering records dating back to
year 2017/2018. We have been unable to locate the requested data dated
prior to 2017.
1. 2017/2018: 23 referrals for connected persons; 2018/2019: 7 referrals
for connected persons. 
2. 2017/2018: 22 carers were successful; 2018/2019: 7 carers were
successful.
3. 2017/2018: 22 carers were approved as temporary foster carers;
2018/2019: 6 carers were approved as temporary foster carers.
4. 2017/2018: 15 friends and family carers assessments carried out for
kinship care foster carer status; 2018/2019: less than 5 friends and
family carers assessments carried out for kinship care foster carer
status.
5. Of the above, in 2017/2018, 10 carers were approved at fostering panel
after assessment and in 2018/2019, less than 5 carers were approved at
fostering panel after assessment.
