Jubilee / Northern and Piccadilly line on-board announcements

Roedd y cais yn llwyddiannus.

Dear Transport for London,

Hi there.

I am requesting a CD of the the Jubilee and Northern and Piccadilly lines stock announcements. (1973/1995/1996 stocks).

These announcements are produced by Ketech (previously known as Ditra) who also produce the London Overground ones (onboard announcements and station announcements) that you often send out. They are not produced by Global Services Limited which means that the commercial interest exception does not apply.

These would be used for personal use only.

Thanks a lot.

Yours faithfully,

Rick Dark

FOI, Transport for London

The email address you need to send your address to is:

Replace the "at" with "@" and replace both the "dot" with "." and that is their email.

Hope this helps.

Dear FOI,

The CD has arrived and I have been given the Jubilee & Northern Line announcements, but the Piccadilly Line announcements folder has a file called "copy file.pcc" and nothing else.
I am requesting these announcements to be re-sent to my address.

Yours sincerely,

Rick Dark

You need to download a special software to view the pcc files. It does work but it needs the special software to be downloaded first.

What software is that?

FOI, Transport for London

Dear Mr Dark

I am sorry the Piccadilly line files weren’t on the CD. I will arrange for
a new CD to be posted to you this week.

Dear FOI,

I have just received the other disc and I'm disappointed that the format given to me is the exact same as last time and I have been given no clarification on how to open the .pcc file format.

As such, I am now requesting an internal review as the response has been lacklustre and I believe that the situation could've been handled in a much better way.

Yours sincerely,

Rick Dark

FOI, Transport for London

Thank you for your request for an internal review which was received on 7 March 2019.

You have stated that you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.

The review will be conducted by an internal review panel in accordance with TfL’s Internal Review Procedure, which is available via the following URL:

http://content.tfl.gov.uk/internal-revie...

Every effort will be made to provide you with a response by 5 April 2019. However, if the review will not be completed by this date, we will contact you and notify you of the revised response date as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely

Dear Mr Dark

I am contacting you with regards to your request for an internal review concerning FOI-2705-1819.

I apologise if you feel that your request was not adequately dealt with. Having reviewed the correspondence held in relation to FOI-2705-1819 I can see that you submitted your request on the 14th January 2019 and a case officer from the FOI Case Management team contacted you for your postal address on the 21st January. A response to your FOI request was issued on the 11 February.

Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, an authority must respond to a request for recorded information no later than the twentieth working day from receipt of the request, a deadline which the FOI Case Management Team met. The format of the announcements that we provided to you is the format in which TfL holds the data and to date we have received no other complaints from others requesters who have received the same data format.

Additionally when you contacted the Case Officer to advise that you required a new CD as some announcements were not included, this was acknowledged with an apology and a replacement CD sent to you straight away.

TfL's FOI Case Management Team are a small team who deal with an excess of 3000 FOI and EIR requests a year. Whilst we always endeavour to provide a high standard of timely service to our requesters, very occasionally an error can occur. But as you experienced we will always correct any issues that are raised to us.

I hope the above information provides satisfactory clarification, however if you are dissatisfied with the internal review actions to date you can refer the matter to the independent authority responsible for enforcing the Freedom of Information Act, at the following address:

Information Commissioner’s Office
Wycliffe House
Water Lane
Wilmslow
Cheshire SK9 5AF

A complaint form is also available on the ICO’s website (www.ico.org.uk).

Yours sincerely
