John Humphrys' recent trip to South Africa
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
I note that John Humphrys was recently sent to South Africa to cover the funeral of Nelson Mandela, a trip some may consider unnecessary in view of the number of journalists already there.
I am assuming that the licence fee paid for the trip, and I therefore feel entitled to know the following:
1) What class of air travel Mr Humphrys used - was it First, Business or Economy?
2) The class of hotel at which Mr Humphrys stayed - how many stars?
3) The total cost of sending Mr Humphrys on this trip.
Yours faithfully,
Pamela Twigge
