Dear Samantha
Information requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FoIA)
Further to your email of 27 July, I can confirm that we have handled your
request for information within the terms of the FoIA.
Your request and our response is as follows:

Our response: Please see Annex A, attached.
The data provided as part of this FOI request covers periods where the IVA
scheme was suspended and operating under a priority application system
with reduced testing resources. This is reflected in the number of tests
recorded.
Between 27 April 2020 and 3 July 2020, our regular IVA services were
suspended. We introduced a priority system to handle IVA applications,
which allowed us to use our available resource to test emergency service
vehicles, along with other categories of vehicle according to their
priority status (see:
[1]https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-...).
On 4 July 2020, we increased our capacity to deliver IVA tests and
retained the priority system for existing and new applicants. Inspections
continue to take place with additional procedures to help prevent the
spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request, you can ask
for an internal review to be conducted by our Information Management and
Security Team by emailing: [2][email address]
Yours sincerely
